Role Overview:

We are seeking a hands-on VP of R&D to lead our software development and quality assurance teams. This role requires balancing between hands-on software development, software architecture and strategic leadership with a deep understanding of SaaS.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor a team of software developers across multiple domains, including frontend, backend, platform, and quality assurance.
• Hands-on software development.
• Oversee the end-to-end development lifecycle of our SaaS products.
• Ensure the delivery of high-quality, scalable, and secure software solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align product development with business goals.
• Implement best practices in software development, testing, and deployment.
• Stay on top of emerging technologies to inform strategic decisions.

Required Qualifications:

• 3 years proven experience in a senior R&D leadership role within a SaaS environment.
• 5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages.
• Strong hands-on experience building scalable web applications across the entire stack (frontend, backend, databases, platform, monitoring, analytics).
• Experience with testing frameworks such as Jest or Jasmine.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. 

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience integrating LLMs in SaaS products.
• Architected, deployed and maintained web services on top of AWS.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
