We’re hiring: Configuration Manager

AIR is building next-generation electric aircraft (eVTOL) for private, defense, and logistics markets. With 2,500+ pre-orders and growing defense contracts, we’re scaling rapidly toward serial production.

The Role:

We’re looking for a hands-on, experienced Configuration Manager to build and lead AIR’s configuration management system from the ground up. This includes defining processes, establishing control over configuration items, and enabling structured scaling across engineering and operations.

You’ll work closely with R&D and production teams to manage BOMs, set up ECO processes, support serial number tracking, and ensure proper version control and traceability for all aircraft platforms and components.

Requirements:

• 4–5 years of experience in configuration management, NPI, or similar roles
• Strong knowledge of CM principles: versioning, baselines, change control, and documentation integrity
• Experience with PLM/PDM systems, BOMs, and engineering documentation
• Proven ability to build CM processes from scratch and work cross-functionally with engineering, operations, and production
• Familiarity with aerospace, aviation, or defense industry standards – strong advantage
• Engineering degree – an advantage
