Software Engineering Team Lead

A successful Fintech Startup developing advanced financing and payment platforms for retailers and banks is looking for an R&D Team Lead.

The company is thriving in the U.S. market, with its product already available in leading retail chains.

The company is located in Modiin (next to the train station), with on-site parking and one day of remote work per week

Responsibilities-

• Lead an agile development team of 3–5 multidisciplinary full-stack engineers.
• Take end-to-end ownership of architecture, design, code quality and delivery across scalable web applications and services.
• Remain hands-on when needed: write, review, and optimize production-ready code.
• Guide the team toward continuous improvement in engineering practices, system performance, and quality assurance.
• Promote and enforce clean code, documentation standards, and development best practices.
• Collaborate closely with Product, QA, DevOps, and the Execution Manager to ensure smooth sprint planning and execution, driving the team to consistently meet its sprint commitments.
• Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and professional growth.

Requirements-

• 3 years of experience leading R&D or software teams in a fast-paced environment.
• 4 years of hands-on experience as a Fullstack Developer, familiar with the following technology stack: .NET, Angular, SQL & NoSQL, RabbitMQ, microservices, Azure DevOps, and AWS.
• Excellent problem-solving, prioritization, and interpersonal communication abilities.
• Practical knowledge in building and scaling microservices architectures – a big plus.
• Experience with Agile methodologies, CI/CD workflows, and cloud-based environments.
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills with a proven ability to develop high-performing teams that get the job done.
• Experience with DevOps tools, observability frameworks, and containerization - preferred.
• Background in fintech or other complex/regulated environments - preferred.
