Senior Software Engineer

We are seeking a talented Senior Software Engineer to join our R&D team and work directly with our VP of Engineering. In this unique role, you’ll be responsible for driving technical innovation, building proof of concepts and MVPs for new product ideas, and providing strategic technical support across the organization.

This position requires a high degree of independence and self-motivation, as you will be working directly with the VP of Engineering on projects that demand autonomy and proactive decision-making. You’ll be expected to take initiative, managing projects from concept through execution without constant oversight.

Responsibilities

• Prototype and Innovate: Lead the design and development of proof of concepts for new products, leveraging the latest technologies to explore new possibilities for the company
• Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Work closely with the VP of Engineering and stakeholders to understand project requirements, ensuring solutions align with business goals
• End-to-End Ownership: Take full ownership of experimental projects, from ideation through to production deployment, ensuring robustness, scalability, and maintainability
• Knowledge Sharing and Mentorship: Provide mentorship and foster a culture of continuous learning within the engineering team

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in full-stack software engineering, with proven expertise in backend (Node.js or Python), frontend (React), and cloud infrastructure/services (AWS)
• Strong experience building prototypes, MVPs, or proof of concepts, with an ability to quickly translate ideas into working solutions
• Solid understanding of cloud infrastructure and services
• Demonstrated ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to a variety of stakeholders
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
