Job Description:
The SOC Analyst Tier 1 is responsible for monitoring, identifying, and providing initial responses to cybersecurity threats and security incidents. The analyst tracks suspicious traffic, examines alerts, and conducts basic event analysis to detect risks and respond accordingly. The role also includes updating and generating reports on detected threats and incidents.
Key Responsibilities:- Real-time monitoring of security systems and analysis tools, including SIEM (Security Information and Event Management).
- Analyzing alerts and data from multiple sources (firewall, antivirus, IDS/IPS) to identify unusual activity.
- Initial incident handling, including data collection and preliminary validation of threats.
- Escalation of complex incidents to Tier 2 analysts when necessary.
- Comprehensive documentation of incidents and report generation.
- Collaboration with internal teams and external entities as needed.
- Basic knowledge of cybersecurity and network security.
- Familiarity with SIEM systems and additional monitoring tools – an advantage.
- Ability to work under pressure and respond quickly to security events.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment.
- Availability for shift work, including nights and weekends.
- Full-time position, 5 days a week, rotating shifts (morning, evening, night).
