Weapon Systems Engineer

We are looking for a Weapon Systems Engineer to join the Ground Systems Division at IAI’s ELTA. This strategic role involves system-level design, integration, and validation of advanced autonomous weapon capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Leading the development and integration of weapon systems into autonomous combat platforms, from standalone components to multi-mission, full-kill-chain capabilities
• Defining system architecture and leading concept-to-production engineering processes
• Gathering and analyzing operational and technical requirements from clients and translating them into system-level definitions
• Authoring complex concepts, technical specifications, and multi-disciplinary system design documents
• Defining interfaces and processes between subsystems and weapon modules
• Managing design reviews and initiating innovation that evolves into next-generation solutions
• Coordinating with subcontractors and monitoring deliverables
• Collaborating cross-functionally with engineering teams across disciplines
• Leading lab and field integration and testing activities

Qualifications

• B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering or Aeronautics – required
• M.Sc. in Systems Engineering – strong advantage
• At least 7 years of experience in system engineering and system architecture – required
• Proven experience with weapon systems – required
• Experience in airborne platforms and autonomous systems – major advantage
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
