Position Summary:

ABLE Tx is seeking a Vice President of Clinical Affairs to lead and expand our clinical development efforts. This is a strategic and hands-on leadership role that will shape the company’s clinical roadmap and ensure successful execution of trials from early-stage through registration. You will work closely with R&D, regulatory, medical, and executive teams to drive all clinical operations, build our clinical infrastructure, and support global regulatory submissions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide strategic leadership and oversight of all clinical programs, from Phase 1 through pivotal trials.
• Develop and implement clinical development plans aligned with regulatory strategy and corporate goals.
• Lead the design, execution, and monitoring of clinical trials in collaboration with CROs, investigators, and internal teams.
• Oversee clinical documentation including study protocols, reports, investigator brochures, safety updates, and trial master files.
• Ensure compliance with GCP, FDA, EMA, and other international regulatory standards.
• Interface with key opinion leaders (KOLs), advisory boards, and regulatory bodies.
• Analyze clinical data and contribute to publications, presentations, and due diligence processes.
• Build and manage a high-performing Clinical Affairs team over time.
• Provide executive-level reporting and contribute to strategic decision-making across the company.

Required Qualifications:

• Advanced degree (MSc, MD, PharmD, or PhD) in life sciences or related field – Required
• Minimum 10 years of experience in clinical development within the pharmaceutical or biotech industry
• Proven track record in leading global clinical trials, ideally in ophthalmology or specialty therapeutics
• Deep understanding of clinical trial design, execution, and regulatory pathways (FDA, EMA)
• Experience managing external vendors (CROs, central labs, data management, etc.)
• Excellent strategic thinking, analytical skills, and ability to operate in a dynamic startup environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
• Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally
• Proficiency in Clinical Operations
• Experience in ophthalmic drug products is a plus !!!
