We are seeking a highly skilled Controller to join our Finance team. This is a full-time, hands-on role in a fast-paced and rapidly growing startup environment.. The Controller will oversee financial activities, conduct financial analysis, ensure compliance with accounting standards, manage revenue recognition processes, handle statutory reporting, and oversee our bookkeeper.

The role reports directly to the CFO.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all financial operations, including monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes, financial reporting, and periodic analysis to support strategic decision-making..
• Ensure robust accounting procedures and internal controls, maintaining compliance with financial policies, tax regulations, and industry standards.
• Manage and support the company’s bookkeeper, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Prepare annual tax returns and fulfill other statutory reporting requirements.
• Ensure accurate revenue recognition in accordance with US GAAP (ASC 606), including contract review, deferred revenue, and revenue allocation.
• Collaborate with all company stakeholders to ensure proper revenue recognition, financial reporting, and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

• CPA with Big 4 experience – a must.
• Fluent in English (both written and verbal)
• 1-2 years of experience as a controller in a SAAS growth startup - a big advantage
• Strong knowledge of revenue recognition principles (ASC 606).
• Ability to work independently, take initiative, and proactively solve problems in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
• Proactive and solution-oriented mindset, with the ability to innovate and adapt in a dynamic environment.
• High attention to detail, accuracy, and organization, with a commitment to excellence.
• Experience in managing and mentoring bookkeepers or finance team members - a big advantage
• Advanced knowledge in ERP Systems - NetSuite is an advantage.
