Deep Learning Researcher - neurotechnology startup,

One of our clients, a cutting-edge neurotechnology startup, is looking to hire a talented Deep Learning Researcher to join their dynamic research team.

This company is on a mission to revolutionize the understanding of human brain activity through real-world data collection and advanced AI. Their work lies at the intersection of neuroscience, machine learning, and engineering, developing breakthrough products that decode neural activity using state-of-the-art deep learning technologies.

In this role, you will:

• Drive research efforts aimed at uncovering the real-world dynamics of brain function.
• Apply deep learning to interpret neural data and pioneer novel techniques in neural decoding.
• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team of computational neuroscientists and engineers, from experimental design to data analysis.
• Use the company’s proprietary data collection platform to work with rich, structured neural datasets at scale.
• Conduct cutting-edge research on model architectures, training methodologies, and optimization strategies.
• Contribute to the design and development of innovative neurotechnology products.
• Work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-moving startup environment.

Requirements:

• MSc or PhD in computer science, electrical engineering, physics, computational neuroscience, or a related field.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in deep learning, particularly in computer vision or NLP applications.
• Strong grasp of machine learning fundamentals, including various learning paradigms and optimization techniques.
• Expertise in developing DL models such as CNNs, RNNs, Transformers, and related architectures.
• Proficient in Python and experienced with DL frameworks like PyTorch, TensorFlow, or Keras.
• Capable of implementing methods from academic literature and up-to-date with the latest research.
