Board Design Engineer – Satellite Communication Systems

We’re on the lookout for an experienced Board Design Engineer to join our hi-tech team developing cutting-edge satellite communication (SATCOM VNO) systems. If you enjoy leading full HW development and thrive on precision and innovation—this role is for you!

What you’ll be doing:

• Lead end-to-end hardware design: requirements, schematics, PCB layout, lab testing, field integration, validation, and production release
• Design digital boards with FPGA, microcontrollers, memory subsystems, high-speed buses, power tree, and RF interfaces (Ethernet, Wi‑Fi, GPS)
• Coordinate closely with mechanical, software, and FPGA teams to ensure smooth system integration
• Execute board bring-up, hardware-software integration, debug and validation
• Use lab tools (DVM, scope, spectrum/network analyzers) for debugging and measurements
• Support NPI and maintain existing product lines
• Draft and update clear technical documentation

You bring:

• B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering with 5+ years of hands-on digital HW design experience
• Strong skills in FPGA, microcontrollers, DDR3/4, power trees, and communication protocols
• Lab skills in debugging and test equipment
• Self-driven multitasker who excels under deadlines and collaborates effectively
• Bonus if you have MIL-STD experience, FPGA RTL modeling (Xilinx), Altium PCB design, and C/C++ system modeling

• עבודה צמודה מול צוותי מכניקה, תוכנה ו‑FPGA לאינטגרציה מושלמת
• ביצוע Bring-up, אינטגרציית חומרה‑תוכנה, ניפוי באגים ואימות מערכת
• שימוש בכלי מדידה במעבדה (אוסילוסקופ, ספקטרום אנלייזר, מדדי DVM)
• תמיכה בתהליך NPI ותחזוקת קווי מוצר קיימים
• כתיבת ועדכון תיעוד טכני מקצועי

מה מצפים שתביא:

• תואר ראשון בהנדסת חשמל + 5 שנות ניסיון מעשי בעיצוב חומרה דיגיטלית
• שליטה ב‑FPGA, מיקרו‑בקרים, DDR, power tree, ופרוטוקולי תקשורת
• ניסיון מעשי בביצוע Bring-up ומדידות במעבדה
• מוטיבציה עצמית, יכולת עבודה עצמאית ובשיתוף פעולה, ועמידה מול דד‑ליינים
