Quality Control Technician

Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Quality Control (QC) Technician to join our production team in the automotive manufacturing environment. The QC Technician will be responsible for performing in-process inspections and audits directly on the production line to ensure components and finished products meet internal and customer quality standards. This role plays a key part in maintaining consistent product quality and driving continuous improvement on the shop floor.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform regular in-line quality inspections according to control plans and quality standards.
• Monitor and record inspection results (e.g., measurements, visual checks, functional tests) in real time.
• Verify compliance of parts and assemblies using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other inspection tools.
• Identify non-conforming products or processes and escalate findings to the line leader and quality engineer.
• Support root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) for quality issues.
• Assist with First Article Inspection (FAI), incoming material inspection, or final product checks as required.
• Work closely with operators to maintain awareness of quality expectations and detect potential issues early.
• Support compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and customer-specific requirements.
• Maintain organized and accurate inspection records, logs, and quality documentation.
• Follow all health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
  
  

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; technical diploma is a plus.
• 1–3 years of experience in quality inspection or manufacturing (preferably in the automotive industry).
• Strong understanding of basic quality tools and inspection equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, control plans, and work instructions.
• Familiarity with IATF 16949 and ISO 9001 standards is an advantage.
• Good communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
• Basic computer skills (e.g., data entry, Microsoft Excel).
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment and stand for extended periods.
• Attention to detail and high sense of responsibility.
• Problem-solving mindset and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.
