Financial Analyst – Investment firm

About the Role:

This newly established role is the company’s sole economist/analyst, responsible for evaluating and analyzing current and potential investments and markets through financial analysis and modeling. Working closely with senior management, you will support deal execution and assess opportunities across multiple asset classes, providing insights that shape strategic investment decisions.

Responsibilities

• Conduct financial analysis of investments, focusing on evaluating potential transactions and ongoing portfolio assets
• Perform monthly reporting on investments and securities
• Develop and maintain financial models to support investment decisions
• Support market research and company analysis efforts
• Coordinate and assist with international transactions and cross-border investments
• Collaborate directly with the CEO and ownership on ad hoc financial analysis and reporting needs
• Navigate and support investment evaluation processes across various asset classes

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a financial analyst, economist, or similar role
• Background in consulting firms, investment companies, private equity, or related fields preferred
• Experience and understanding of capital markets and investment evaluation
• Expertise in financial modelling, market research, and company analysis
