Automation Engineer

BMC is looking for a talented Automation Engineer to join our team working on complex and distributed software, developing automated performance strategies, execute test plans, and assist the firm in assuring product quality.

• Conduct and automate integration, API, and system testing to validate stability, performance, and reliability
• Provide a quality narrative of our products from a complete system point of view and work closely with developers to suggest and validate improvements to affect the application's stability/performance and operative aspects
• Contribute to product and process improvements and provide feedback from a customer perspective.

Ensure your success by bringing these skillsets & experiences:

• 3+ years of experience as a QA/Test Engineer in distributed environments, with a strong focus on functional, regression, integration, and API testing
• Hands-on experience with Python and testing Client-Server applications
• Experience in building and maintaining robust automation frameworks and automating end-to-end scenarios
• Solid understanding of SaaS products, cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure), and tools such as Kubernetes, Rancher, OpenShift
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools like Jenkins, Git, and CI/CD pipelines
• Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills with a solution-oriented mindset, not just problem reporting
• Ability to define test strategies, prepare and execute test cases, and ensure test coverage from both technical and user perspectives
• Experience working across Windows and Unix/Linux environments
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills
• Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, computer science, programming, or equivalent practical experience
• Experience with AI/ML implementation, algorithms and Tools is highly desirable and an advantage
