Database Administrator

Join a fast-growing fintech company that’s revolutionizing the world of digital payments and financial infrastructure, as a DBA SQL Server and take end-to-end responsibility for the design, maintenance, and optimization of enterprise-grade database environments.

This role includes both infrastructure and application-level responsibilities – ensuring high availability, performance, and reliability of critical database systems. You’ll work closely with development, DevOps, and system teams to support business continuity, troubleshoot issues, and improve data infrastructure at scale.

What will you do:

• Design and manage SQL Server environments and architecture
• Optimize SQL queries and improve performance (indexing, partitioning, etc.)
• Implement HA/DR solutions (Always On, Replication, Log Shipping)
• Handle backups, security, and permissions
• Develop ETL processes with SSIS; optional reporting with SSRS/SSAS
• Support large-scale databases (VLDBs) and perform controlled migrations
• Assist developers with advanced T-SQL and stored procedures

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience as a SQL Server DBA (Infrastructure + Application)
• Expert-level SQL skills including analytical functions and execution plan analysis
• Hands-on experience with HA implementations: Always On, Mirroring, Replication
• Proven expertise in performance tuning and query/process optimization
• Deep understanding of partitioning, advanced indexing, and query optimization techniques
• Strong experience writing stored procedures, triggers, functions, and complex T-SQL
• Hands-on experience managing backups, restores, and failure diagnostics
• Familiarity with monitoring tools and best practices for SQL Server management
• Strong documentation skills and ability to understand and manage complex systems

Advantages:

• Experience with cloud environments (AWS) and managed database services
• Proven experience working with VLDBs (100GB+)
• Hands-on knowledge of SSIS / SSRS / SSAS – significant professional advantage
• Software development experience – helpful for application-level database support
• Microsoft SQL Server DBA certification – official advantage
• Familiarity with multi-data center or multi-region database setups
