Software AI Engineer

Role Overview

We are looking for a Software AI Engineer with 2-4 years of experience who can build and deploy AI systems with minimal supervision. This role is ideal for candidates who have moved beyond entry-level positions and are ready to take ownership of AI components while working closely with our CTO.

You'll join at a critical pre-launch stage where your code directly shapes our AI-powered platform and architecture. Daily work involves building production AI agents, RAG systems, and LLM integrations that are central to our scientific research platform.

Requirements

• Strong software engineering background CS, CE, EE, or practical experience (from tech units in the IDF or equivalent)
• 2-4 years of software development experience
• Strong Python programming skills and software engineering practices
• Hands-on experience with AI/ML frameworks
• Experience with LLM frameworks (LangChain etc.)
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS preferred)
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with technical leadership
• Self-directed learning abilities and proactive problem-solving mindset

Bonus:

• Experience with agentic AI systems and multi-agent architectures
• Familiarity with RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) implementation
• Knowledge of vector databases and embedding systems
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools (Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Independently develop components of our AI-powered applications using modern AI frameworks
• Build and integrate agentic AI systems and workflow automation tools into our platform
• Implement RAG systems and LLM-powered applications for research tasks
• Build and optimize data processing pipelines leveraging AI capabilities
• Implement and maintain backend services and APIs with AI-first architecture
• Gain experience with cutting-edge AI tools and cloud deployment
• Collaborate with the CTO to implement core AI platform functionality
• Rapidly prototype and iterate using AI-assisted development workflows
