Job Title: Head of Beam and Evidence Generation Lead

As the Head of Beam and Evidence Generation Lead, you will spearhead AstraZeneca's global Real-World Data Research Center (Beam) in Israel, while guiding evidence generation activities across all therapeutic areas. This dual role leverages Israel's unique healthcare data infrastructure to generate real-world insights that advance patient care both locally and globally. Your leadership will be pivotal in establishing strategic partnerships with academic institutions, healthcare organizations, and technology companies, ensuring research activities meet the highest scientific, ethical, and regulatory standards. Accountabilities:

• Lead the strategic and scientific direction, operational management, and growth of Beam, ensuring alignment with AstraZeneca's global priorities.
• Foster strategic partnerships with healthcare organizations and tech companies to advance healthcare innovations globally.
• Manage a team of data scientists and epidemiologists to address global data needs.
• Cultivate scientific collaborations across internal and external teams, building trusted relationships with researchers and stakeholders.
• Oversee budget management and resource allocation to ensure operational efficiency.
• Represent Beam at scientific conferences, industry forums, and strategic partnership discussions.
• Accountable for strategical guidance, planning, development, and operational delivery of local studies across all therapeutic areas.
• Lead the development of multi-annual evidence generation plans aligned to business strategy.
• Foster collaborations with external experts to conduct high-impact RWE studies.
• Implement global governance frameworks to ensure compliance with legislation, SOPs, and GCP.
• Ensure effective communication of study results at congresses and publication in journals.
• Support Business Units in identifying evidence solutions that address business needs.
  
  

• Advanced degree (PhD, MD, or equivalent) in a relevant scientific discipline
• Minimum 7+ years of experience in healthcare research, with at least 5 years in leadership roles related to real-world evidence or health data analytics
• Demonstrated expertise in RWE methodologies, study design, and implementation
• Proven track record of successful cross-functional and cross-sector collaboration
• Experience in building and managing strategic partnerships with academic institutions and/or healthcare organizations
• Strong understanding of healthcare data systems, privacy regulations, and research ethics
• Experience in people management and team development
• Excellent communication skills with ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders
• Proven project management skills with ability to deliver complex initiatives on time and within budget
• Excellent knowledge of GCP, privacy and applicable regulations
• Understanding of pharmaceutical industry research practices and regulatory requirements
• Proficiency in Hebrew and English
  
  

• Experience working with Israeli healthcare system and data infrastructure
• Publication record in peer-reviewed journals related to real-world evidence or health data research
• Experience in establishing and managing collaborative research initiatives
• Knowledge of advanced analytics, machine learning, or AI applications in healthcare research
• Experience in managing large research budgets
• International experience in healthcare research or pharmaceutical industry
• Experience in translating research findings into clinical practice or policy changes
• Background in multiple therapeutic areas relevant to AstraZeneca's portfolio
• Experience in digital health innovation or health technology assessment
