We are actively seeking a highly skilled and experienced VMware & Storage/Backup Engineer to join our dynamic server team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for the comprehensive management and maintenance of our critical production systems. We are looking for a professional who combines deep expertise in VMware and storage/backup technologies with significant hands-on experience in Linux server environments to ensure the robust health, optimal performance, and unwavering resilience of our infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage, monitor, and optimize the performance of existing VMware and storage/backup systems.
• Develop comprehensive performance and capacity reports, and configure advanced monitoring alerts.
• Conduct proactive resource capacity planning to support future growth and demand.
• Design, build, and maintain robust disaster recovery (DR) systems and procedures, including regular testing.
• Oversee all storage and backup operations, ensuring efficient data protection, reliable backups, and swift restorations.

Requirements:

• Proven track record of working effectively in a demanding production environment.
• Expertise in VMware vSphere administration, configuration, and troubleshooting.
• Hands-on experience with Dell Storage and backup systems.
• Strong understanding and practical experience in SAN switches administration and configuration.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment with competing priorities.
• Fluent in English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Essential Advantage:

• Extensive and demonstrable experience with Linux servers (installation, configuration, troubleshooting, scripting, etc.) in a production setting is a significant advantage and highly preferred.

Additional Strong Advantages:

• Familiarity with Dell Blade systems.
• Experience with specific SAN switches (Brocade or Cisco).
• In-depth knowledge of Disaster Recovery systems and procedures, beyond basic understanding.
