Electronics and Control Engineer

Job Description:

A technology startup developing an innovative, multidisciplinary autonomous robotic system that includes cutting edge AI based algorithms is seeking an experienced Electronics Engineer with a systems-oriented mindset and the ability to lead end-to-end development and integration of complex systems. The role includes responsibility for the design, development, integration, and testing of autonomous robotic systems, including:

• Multi-axis manipulators and automation components: motors, gears, drivers, encoders, sensors, and controllers

• Various sensors (inertial, optical, RF, pressure, GPS, etc.)

• Embedded computing• RF communication

Job Requirements:

• B.Sc. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering – mandatory

• 5+ years of experience in hardware development and integration of multidisciplinary systems – mandatory

• Experience with motion control, PID controllers, servo control, BLDC motors, motor drivers, encoders, system calibration, operation of complex servo systems, and familiarity with common motion industry standards

• Proficiency in embedded programming for microcontrollers in C/C++

• Experience operating multi-component systems (relays, sensors, pneumatics, etc.)

• Connectivity to various communication architectures: ETHERNET, RS232/422, CAN,UART, etc.• Familiarity with Linux OS

• Design of wiring and electronic enclosures to product-level standards

• Knowledge of electrical design tools and system schematics

• Development for environmental robustness

• Performing lab and field testing

• Close collaboration with software, mechanical, and algorithm teams

• Supporting NPI (New Product Introduction) processes from development to manufacturing
