Head of DS & AI

We are seeking a Head of Data Science with strong expertise in Natural Language Processing (NLP) to lead a growing team of three data scientists. This is a unique opportunity to take ownership of the data science strategy while remaining hands-on and deeply involved in developing real-world AI solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of 3 data scientists
• Design and implement NLP-driven solutions, including text classification, entity recognition, content detection, and clustering
• Set the data science roadmap and ensure alignment with product and engineering teams
• Work hands-on with large-scale, real-world text data
• Collaborate cross-functionally to bring models from research to production

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in data science, with a focus on NLP
• 2+ years in a leadership or senior technical role
• Deep understanding of modern NLP techniques, including transformers and LLMs
• Proficiency in Python and relevant libraries (e.g., PyTorch, HuggingFace, spaCy)
• Experience working with unstructured, messy, or adversarial data – an advantage
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
