Principal Architect

We’re seeking a senior Software Architect to join a core business unit within a global tech company and contribute to leading the architectural direction of a complex, large-scale platform that plays a critical role in the company’s ecosystem.

What You’ll Do:

• Drive architectural strategy and decision-making across multiple engineering teams.
• Partner closely with engineering and product leadership to support scalable, maintainable, and modern solutions.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to teams across R&D – working alongside dozens of engineers, not managing directly but influencing deeply.
• Review and guide design processes, system evolution, and cross-team initiatives with a holistic view of the platform.
• Support teams in identifying architectural improvements, technical risks, and opportunities for innovation.
• Serve as a trusted advisor on architectural tradeoffs and long-term technical vision.

What We’re Looking For:

• Significant experience as a Software Architect or Principal Engineer in a large-scale tech organization.
• A strong track record of supporting many teams and engineers – providing guidance, architectural reviews, and systemic thinking.
• Deep understanding of distributed systems, backend architecture, and enterprise-level platform challenges.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills – able to influence without authority and collaborate across disciplines.
• Strategic mindset with the ability to balance long-term vision with current technical constraints and business needs.
• Not expected to be hands-on in writing code, but must be technically credible and able to engage deeply in design discussions.

Tech Environment:

• The platform is primarily built in .NET, but experience with other modern tech stacks is also relevant.
• The company works in a distributed environment – experience collaborating with global teams is an advantage.
