Position Overview:
We are seeking a seasoned and proactive Director of Finance to join and lead our accounting team. Reporting to the CFO, this role will manage the Controller and oversee the global finance operation, including accounting, reporting, compliance, and tax across multiple jurisdictions. The ideal candidate will bring deep US GAAP expertise, strong leadership skills, and a collaborative, hands-on approach to support the company’s continued growth and strategic direction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Department Leadership:
- Lead the accounting department, managing the Controller and overseeing the accounting and bookkeeping teams.
- Implement best practices across financial processes and drive the department to efficiency and excellency.
- Financial Reporting:
- Responsible the preparation of timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial statements under US GAAP. Responsible for the preparation of timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial statements under US GAAP.
- Manage quarterly Auditor's reviews and the annual audit process with external auditors.
- Compliance
- Ensure full compliance with internal controls, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Global Tax Management:
- Oversee tax compliance and returns across 4 international entities (Israel, US, Germany, Netherlands), working with local advisors.
- Payroll:
- Ensure accurate and compliant payroll processing in 4 countries, both for directly employed staff and those engaged via third-party employment solutions.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate closely with internal departments (e.g., Sales, Legal, HR).
- Accounting and Revenue Recognition Expertise:
Provide guidance on accounting treatment for new contracts.
- Strategic Financial Advisory:
Contribute to strategic planning and risk assessment.
Requirements:
- CPA.
- At least 8 years of experience in finance/accounting/audit roles after internship, including managerial roles.
- Deep knowledge of US GAAP, including revenue recognition (ASC 606).
- Experience with international operations and multi-currency operations.
- Strong managerial and interpersonal skills with the ability to mentor and develop teams.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Fluent in English - verbal and written.
