We're a dynamic, startup-style team within Akamai's Security Technology Group focused on building AI-driven solutions to protect global internet brands from phishing, fake stores, cybersquatting, and account abuse. Leveraging Akamai's vast data and a multidisciplinary teamspanning security research, software engineering, data science, fraud analysis, and DevOpswe proactively detect and stop evolving threats

As a Full-stack Engineer, you will help build scalable, secure technologies across browsers, microservices, and distributed systems. You'll work with a cross-functional team to develop and test innovative fraud protection solutions.

As a Full-stack Engineer You Will Be Responsible For

• Implementing and testing advanced technologies involving browser security, microservices, and distributed systems.
• Building and maintaining scalable backend solutions using modern architectures and cloud platforms.
• Leveraging AI and machine learning techniques to proactively detect and prevent various online fraud threats.
• Creating clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
• Ensuring efficient CI/CD processes and infrastructure deployment practices.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, analysts, and engineers, to enhance fraud detection accuracy.
  
  

Do What You Love

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have a B.Sc. in Computer Science or an equivalent qualification.
• Possess deep knowledge of browser technologies, DOM APIs, native JavaScript, and browser security.
• Have good experience with backend development and proficiency in server-side languages, especially NodeJS (NestJS).
• Be experienced with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure, and container orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
• Demonstrate proficiency with NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Redis, Elasticsearch) and messaging queues.
