We’re looking for a Director of Engineering to lead our engineering organization and drive the development of key product areas and infrastructure. This is a unique opportunity to shape both the technology and culture of a company, redefining a legacy industry. The ideal candidate is an experienced and dynamic leader who will oversee a high-performing team focused on building and maintaining critical Audit functionalities and foundational software components. This role will play a pivotal part in setting the technical vision, ensuring execution excellence, and delivering scalable, reliable, and high-quality solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Provide strategic leadership and direction for Trullion’s R&D team, managing multiple squads and team leads across product areas.
• Drive the technical vision and architecture of our SaaS AI-powered platform, ensuring scalability, performance, and quality.
• Partner with Product and Executive teams to align technical goals with business outcomes.
• Build and nurture a high-performing engineering culture grounded in collaboration, velocity, and technical excellence.
• Lead hiring, mentoring, and career development for engineers and team leads.
• Oversee system design, infrastructure decisions, and the implementation of modern development practices and tools.
• Maintain a strong focus on delivery, ensuring teams meet deadlines while upholding a high bar for code quality and performance.
• Lead and own engineering hiring efforts: define role requirements, partner closely with Talent Acquisition, and drive interviews, assessments, and decision-making.
  
  

• 10 + years in software engineering (5 + leading managers/teams) within high-growth SaaS, preferably AI-enabled products.
• Proven track record of scaling engineering teams in high-growth, product-led startups.
• Hands-on technical experience with modern full-stack development, familiarity with Python, React, and cloud-native architectures is a plus.
• Deep understanding of system design, scalable architecture, and engineering best practices.
• Strong leadership and communication skills with a people-first approach.
• Experience working in dynamic, cross-functional environments with high ownership and accountability.
