Software Engineering Team Lead

A healthcare startup that developed a U.S.-based medical services marketplace connecting patients, insurance providers, and healthcare organizations (clinics, hospitals, physicians). Using a proprietary algorithm, the platform delivers highly accurate matches between users, optimizing for speed, cost savings, and quality of care.

Located in Tel Aviv near a train station, the company operates in a hybrid model with two remote days per week and employs 140 people.

The position includes:

• Establishing a new domain in the company: Data Integration Infrastructure
• End-to-end ownership of the domain, including hands-on development (90%) and building the team from scratch
• Reporting directly to the VP of Engineering
• Designing and building a scalable Data Platform from the ground up
• Working on architecture and system design in a cloud-based environment
• Tech Stack: Python, Node.js, PostgreSQL, AWS, Lambda

Requirements:

• 6+ years of backend development experience in Node.js and/or Python (preferably both)
• 3+ years of managerial experience
• Proven experience designing and building data integration pipelines
• Hands-on experience with data tools (ETL/ELT, orchestration, etc.) – must
• Experience with PostgreSQL – an advantage
• Experience in cloud environments – an advantage
