We're Hiring: Data Engineer for a Medical Startup

We’re looking for a full-time Data Engineer with a passion for Big Data and a strong motivation to work with broad clinical data sources. The ideal candidate will play a key role in building advanced data pipelines and supporting our dynamic team in shaping healthcare innovation.

What You'll Bring:

• A passion for Big Data, curiosity about challenging medical projects, and a drive to make a direct impact on the healthcare world
• B.Sc. in Industrial Engineering & Management, Information Systems Engineering – or equivalent hands-on experience. No degree? If your eyes light up when writing code – we’d love to hear from you
• 6+ years of practical experience as a Data Engineer
• 4+ years of experience writing Python scripts
• Experience working with diverse data formats and databases, including cloud environments, SQL & NoSQL, Parquet and JSON files
• Familiarity with development environments using GIT and best-practice methodologies
• Hands-on experience with AWS and designing cloud-based data pipelines
• Significant advantage: previous experience working with real-world clinical data
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively, with strong interpersonal communication and initiative

Your Responsibilities:

• Extracting, validating, and profiling data to maximize value
• Designing, developing, monitoring, and maintaining data and ETL processes from various sources
• Collaborating with researchers, experts, and data scientists to understand data needs and define data products
• Managing the development lifecycle, including best practices, quality control, and ongoing maintenance
