Role Description

We’re seeking a Lead Computer Vision Engineer to take ownership of Flymingo’s core AI technology and drive the development of our next-generation computer vision platform.

In this high-impact leadership role, you’ll define the technical roadmap, architect scalable solutions, and lead a team of talented engineers and researchers. This is more than a hands-on role—it’s a chance to shape how AI is deployed at scale in mission-critical environments.

This is a full-time hybrid position based in Tel Aviv-Yafo.

What You’ll Do

What You’ll Be Responsible For

• Own the end-to-end vision for Flymingo’s computer vision stack, from research to deployment.
• Lead the development of scalable, real-time video analysis systems using deep learning and traditional vision methods.
• Drive architectural decisions and set coding and research best practices to ensure robustness and scalability.
• Mentor and guide other engineers, fostering a high-performance, collaborative team culture.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product, engineering, and business stakeholders to align technical work with strategic goals.
• Stay ahead of the curve with the latest research and tools, and bring innovative ideas into production.

Requirements

• MSc or BSc in Computer Vision, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of experience in computer vision or machine learning, including leading technical projects or teams.
• Strong programming skills in Python, with production experience in frameworks like OpenCV, PyTorch, or TensorFlow.
• Deep understanding of core computer vision concepts such as object detection, multi-camera tracking, and segmentation.
• Proven experience building and deploying production-grade vision pipelines.
• Strong leadership, mentorship, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with multi-camera tracking and sensor fusion systems.
• Background in real-time video analytics or edge computing.
• Familiarity with 3D vision, SLAM, or point cloud processing.
• Exposure to cloud infrastructure and scalable deployment (e.g., AWS, GCP).
• Prior experience in logistics, robotics, or industrial automation environments is a plus.
