Senior Strategic Buyer

The role requires technical and engineering knowledge, as well as the ability to lead procurement and sourcing processes in international markets and translate technical requirements into procurement needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage sourcing and procurement processes for technical and engineering equipment from international suppliers.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and translate them into procurement requirements.
• Collaborate with international suppliers to ensure timely delivery and quality.
• Develop Bill of Quantities (BOQ) based on engineering specifications and project needs.
• Identify and develop new markets and suppliers globally.
• Work across organizational interfaces, including operations and planning, to fulfill technical

Requirements:

• Education: Degree in Engineering (Mechanical or relevant field) or equivalent.
• Experience in technical procurement and supplier negotiations, both locally and internationally.
• Significant advantage for familiarity with infrastructure and energy sectors.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings – a must.
• Experience managing sourcing processes internationally.
• High proficiency in English.
• Independent work capabilities, eagerness to learn, strong negotiation skills, assertiveness, high organizational skills, attention to detail, excellent interpersonal relations, and high service orientation.
• Previous experience in a similar role in industry/engineering projects.
• Knowledge of additional languages – a significant advantage.
• Familiarity with ERP systems, preferably Priority.
• Knowledge of Priority ERP system.
