The Control-M product line is BMC’s orchestration and automation platform. It helps the world's largest companies to automate time-sensitive, business-critical workflows. We orchestrate data and machine learning pipelines, supply chains, production lines, financial transactions, and other processes in complex IT environments worldwide. We continuously grow by adding and implementing the most cutting-edge technologies, conducting innovative Just Do It marathons, thinking about new features to add and investing in our employee training programs!
BMC is looking for a Software Development Manager with passion for innovation and technology!
In this role, you will manage a team of 10 developers, which plays a critical role in the development of our amazing workload automation product (Control-M) – a product that enables the worlds’ largest companies to automate their applications/services. You will be responsible for hiring great talent, mentoring new and junior employees, assign tasks and prioritize them, perform employee evaluation, and help our employees to develop their career in BMC.
Here is how, through this exciting role, YOU will contribute to BMC's and your own success:
- Direct management of ~10 employees
- Employee hiring, coaching/mentoring, task management, employee evaluation, employee career development etc.
- Lead the development of a critical component of Control-M, to address various customer requirements and continuously modernize it.
- Collaborate with various interfaces, such as other development teams, QA, DevOps, Product Management, etc.
- Work closely with the Support team to resolve high-impact issues and incidents.
- At least 5 years of experience in direct management of development teams.
- At least 7 years of experience in backend software development.
- Strong background in software engineering and designing large-scale systems.
- Experience in C++ and Java.
- Knowledge in Windows and Linux OS.
- Experience in managing and resolving customer issues via direct communication with Support teams and customers.
- Experience in hiring employees, mentoring, task management etc.
- Ability and will to adopt modern technologies.
- Great communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience from enterprise companies
- B.Sc. in Computer Science or equivalent
