Data Engineer

We're looking for a talented Data Engineer to join our data team and lead the design and implementation of scalable, high-impact data solutions.

As a Data Engineer at Ynet, you’ll work at the heart of our data-driven decision-making processes and help define how millions of people experience digital content.

You will:

• Design and build advanced data pipelines on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) using a modern data stack.
• Develop and optimize ETL/ELT workflows for both real-time and batch processing using Apache Airflow, DBT, and Dataflow.
• Manage and optimize data lakes and warehouses in BigQuery, including partitioning, clustering, and cost optimization.
• Integrate data from multiple sources (APIs, data streams, third-party platforms), ensuring high data quality and availability.
• Build infrastructure to support business intelligence (BI) tools such as Looker, Power BI, and Tableau.
• Lead Data Governance practices: data security, privacy compliance, and permission control.
• Collaborate closely with BI, content, and product teams to deliver actionable insights and real-world impact.

What We’re Looking For

• 3+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or BI Developer in enterprise environments.
• Strong experience with GCP (especially BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Dataflow, Cloud Functions).
• Advanced Python and SQL skills; scripting knowledge in Bash/Shell.
• Experience with ETL tools such as Apache Airflow or DBT.
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD, and DevOps best practices.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Kafka, PubSub, or other streaming platforms.
• Background in Machine Learning pipelines or MLOps.
• Knowledge of digital media and publishing ecosystems.
• Familiarity with Snowflake, Databricks, or similar platforms.
• Hands-on experience with AI-enhanced data tools.
