Shape the Future of Cloud Efficiency at SentinelOne as a FinOps Engineer!

Join our dynamic and growing FinOps team, the driving force behind SentinelOne’s cost-effective model, directly fueling our ambitious growth and financial success.

In this pivotal role, you'll partner with product engineering to architect cost-optimized solutions, develop insightful financial projection models, and conduct in-depth cost analysis to uncover root causes. You'll also spearhead critical projects that enhance cost allocation and efficiency, collaborating closely with senior management and key stakeholders across Finance, Pricing, Product Engineering, IT & Operations.

• Visibility: Improve cost transparency by building dashboards, reports, and views that make cloud spend understandable to stakeholders.
• Analytics: Analyze cost and usage data to identify trends & anomalies. Collaborate with Finance and Pricing teams to align cloud spending with broader business goals.
• Allocate: Allocate platform costs to specific teams, cost groups and products, for enhanced visibility, accountability, and decision-making.
• Monitor: Track and maintain critical cloud cost, usage & efficiency leading indicators to ensure financial accountability and performance.
• Optimization: Proactively identifying and implementing significant cost-savings, using FinOps best practices and 3rd party tools, including managing and analyzing commitments (Savings Plans, Reserved Instances, and CUDs).
• FC & Budgeting: Develop forward-looking spend projections and models that considers customer growth, product expansion and regional scaling. Collaborate with Finance & Eng to ensure alignment with overall budget expectations and Company Margin goals.
  
  

• 2+ years of experience in FinOps Engineering
• Proven ability to analyze and visualize costs using common tools in the market.
• Demonstrated expertise in cost optimization best practices across AWS, GCP, and Azure.
• Experience building and maintaining insightful BI FinOps dashboards (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker, Grafana).
• Proficiency in SQL and Python. Basic knowledge of data transformation, cleansing and enrichment.
• Strong team player with a collaborative mindset.
• Self-starter with excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Plus: Experience in Cloud Eng, DevOps or Financial roles
• Plus: Familiarity with AWS & GCP SDKs and API.
• Plus: Knowledge of BigQuery and the core principles of a columnar database
• Plus: Relevant certifications in FinOps, analytics, or financial management.
