R&D Chemist

QD-SOL is a fast-growing startup turning sunlight into green hydrogen at industrial scale. We are expanding our Chemistry team and are looking for a hands-on synthetic chemist who enjoys the lab bench and cares about the environment.

What you’ll do

• Run multi-step nanoparticles syntheses using Schlenk-line and glove-box techniques.
• Modify and stabilize particle surfaces - ligand exchange, formulation, embedding in diverse matrices.
• Design and execute experiments – set up equipment, write SOPs, and develop practical testing methods.
• Collect and analyze data; turn results into clear insights.
• Stay current with the field and quickly translate new ideas into lab trials.

What you bring

• B.Sc. / M.Sc. in Chemistry (Physical / Materials / Nanochemistry preferred).
• Proven, hands-on experience with air-sensitive synthesis, colloidal nanocrystals, or heterogeneous catalysts; industrial background is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong multitasking and organizational skills in a fast-paced startup environment.
• Experience with photocatalysis or hydrogen generation – big advantage.
