Laboratory Manager

Job Title: Lab Manager – Full-Time

Location: Wortzel Lab, Gray Faculty of Medical & Health Sciences, Tel Aviv University

Position Type: Full-Time

Start Date: July, 2025

The newly established Wortzel Lab is seeking a highly motivated and organized Lab Manager to join our dynamic research team full-time. The Lab Manager will play a central role in supporting the daily operations of a biomedical research lab focused on extracellular vesicles and cancer metastasis.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily lab operations and ensure compliance with institutional safety and regulatory standards

• Manage and maintain lab equipment, inventory, and supplies

• Coordinate and support research activities, including experiments, data collection, and analysis

• Assist with protocol development, animal colony management, and IACUC documentation

• Train and supervise new lab members, including students and technicians

• Maintain accurate records and assist with grant and manuscript preparation

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree or higher in biology, biomedical sciences, or a related field (Ph.D. preferred)

• Prior laboratory experience required; hands-on experience working with mice (e.g., handling, injections, breeding) is strongly preferred

• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work independently, multitask, and thrive in a fast-paced research environment

• Familiarity with molecular biology techniques, cell culture, and microscopy is a plus
