A Day in the Life

At our HR Shared Services Department in Medtronic, plc, we focus on administrative, project, operational and data support for all elements of the employee experience, while maintaining and meeting core business objectives. We strive to deliver in the execution of core processes, in order to ensure consistency, effectiveness and efficiency promoting use and adoption of our HR technology platforms.

Total Reward Operations are directly involved in providing customers (Benefit/Compensation COE, AskHR, Employees, Vendors) with accurate, consistent, and timely responses to their questions and issues regarding all things Compensation and Benefit related. This is carried out through developing an in-depth understanding of the customer’s needs and engaging with customers to ensure quality of response, contributing to the continuous development of knowledgebase tools to provide consistent response to customers, escalates cases in a timely way to appropriate Subject Matter Expert (SME) if functional expertise is required and promotes the use of self-help tools such as Workday and knowledgebase to encourage customers to answer questions on their own.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

• Support employee insured benefit renewals and recommendations with local broker, ensuring information are accurate and timely
• Support Global Compensation initiatives such as Incentive Plans, Rewards Planning, Promotion process, etc
• Maintain information as needed for all or some of the following programs: retirement plan, saving programs, pension programs, group life insurance, sick leave, long-term disability, health insurance programs, vacation, holidays, paid/unpaid leaves of absence, wellness programs
• Support COE partners with implementation of global benefits administration technology
• Assist COE partners with other relevant ongoing initiatives
• Review and update employee communications where necessary
• Provide ongoing maintenance of all Total Reward Operation material on our internal HR Portal
• Deliver exceptional customer service by researching and ensuring timely responses to employee escalations, to ensure we meet agreed upon SLA
• Assist with policy creation where needed
• Provide interactive support with Payroll and Finance to ensure proper payment, funding and taxation of employee programs
• Help identify process improvement and best practice opportunities to current business / work processes
• Supports special projects as needed.
  
  

Required Knowledge and Experience:

• Academic degree
• 2+ years of relevant Human Resources, benefits, compensation, payroll or finance experience or Advanced Degree
• Fluent in Hebrew & English is a necessity, knowledge of other languages would be an asset
• Proficient in Workday, Excel, Word, Power Point and Outlook
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, relationship building, negotiation and interpersonal skills
• Ability to meet tight deadlines, work on several projects simultaneously and work independently and in a team environment
• Ability to prioritize tasks and recognize when escalation is necessary
• Ability to work with highly confidential data and always maintain confidentiality
• Medtronic work experience – Knowledge of company products, company functions, and policies and procedures
• Strong detail orientation
• Previous experience in a customer service or high customer interaction
• Good judgment and problem-solving skills.
