Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

A well-established and successful technology company is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer.

Job Description:

• Design of electronic packaging and electromechanical solutions for ruggedized MIL sub-systems.
• Design of complex assemblies with an emphasis on ease of assembly.
• Thermal design.
• Interface with electronics engineers and PCB designers.
• Full responsibility for the mechanical production process – from design to mass production.
• Design of test equipment and supporting mechanical components.
• Support for the manufacturing engineering department.

Requirements:

• B.Sc. (at minimum) in Mechanical Engineering.
• 6–8 years of experience in electronic packaging – mandatory.
• In-depth knowledge and understanding of manufacturing processes such as CNC, milling, routing, turning, flange forming, and more – mandatory.
• Expert user of CAD software such as Solid Edge.
• Knowledge and experience with military and aerospace standards such as MIL-STD-810 and RTCA/DO-160.
• Background in power supply design – advantage.
• Background in thermal and structural analysis – advantage.
• Experience in mechanical design of PCBs and selection of electromechanical hardware – advantage.
• High motivation, ability to work independently and as part of a team.
