Software Infrastructure Team Leader - Python

One of our clients, a cutting-edge high-tech company developing smart industrial solutions, is looking to hire a Software Infrastructure Team Leader.

This company leverages advanced AI technologies to transform traditional industrial systems into intelligent, efficient, and automated processes. Their solutions empower machines and production lines to operate with real-time insights and data-driven decision-making.

In this role, you will lead a multidisciplinary engineering team composed of backend developers, DevOps engineers, and data engineers. You will be responsible for building and maintaining a scalable, secure, and high-performing infrastructure across both cloud (primarily GCP) and on-premise environments. This infrastructure supports the company's core data and platform capabilities, enabling real-time data ingestion, monitoring, and analytics.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor a team of backend, DevOps, and data engineers to foster strong collaboration and high performance.
• Own and evolve the company's infrastructure stack to ensure high availability, scalability, and security across cloud and on-premise systems.
• Architect and manage reliable data pipelines for ingesting external data and delivering insights to internal dashboards and tools.
• Develop monitoring and alerting systems to ensure visibility and operational stability.
• Work cross-functionally with product, operations, algorithm, and mechanical engineering teams to align infrastructure with business and technical goals.
• Promote best practices in infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD pipelines, and automated deployment.
• Troubleshoot incidents and lead performance optimization efforts with a focus on automation and system resilience.

Requirements:

• At least 6 years of experience in software or infrastructure engineering, with a minimum of 2 years in a leadership role.
• Proven track record managing backend or infrastructure teams in fast-paced environments.
• Strong hands-on experience with cloud platforms, preferably GCP.
• Expertise in DevOps practices, CI/CD, observability, and infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, Helm).
• Solid understanding of backend architecture, distributed systems, microservices, and data-driven development.
• 3+ years of experience with Python development.
• Experience with data pipeline tools and frameworks (e.g., Airflow, Kafka, Pub/Sub).
• Proficiency with databases and data stores (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB, BigQuery).
• Experience building and scaling highly reliable, high-uptime systems.
• B.Sc. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Preferred: Experience working with algorithmic or machine learning teams.
• Preferred: Familiarity with on-premise infrastructure and applications.
