Economist

We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical Economist to join our headquarters team. This position offers a unique opportunity to be a key player in driving financial insights, supporting executive decision-making, and leading core budgeting, reporting, and forecasting processes for one of Israel’s leading consumer goods companies.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead financial consolidation and reporting processes for Strauss Israel – including monthly, quarterly, and annual closures, budgets, and rolling forecasts.

Act as the top user for financial systems – maintain and operate reporting tools, support the budgeting system, and develop dashboards and reports for analysis and planning.

Deliver financial and business performance reports, including regular management presentations.

Control overhead costs of HQ units and maintain updated forecasts.

Perform cross-organizational financial analysis, including preparation of monthly and quarterly reports for executive discussions.

Partner in the rolling forecast and annual budgeting processes.

Requirements:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Economics or Business Administration (Master’s degree – an advantage).

Experience: At least 2 years in a similar role in a corporate environment.

Proven experience in budgeting, financial reporting, forecasting, and business analysis.

Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure in a dynamic environment.

Advanced Excel skills and experience working with BI tools.

SAP experience – strong advantage.

Fast learner, proactive, independent, with strong teamwork and communication skills.
