Summary

TopstepTV is one of the most watched live futures day trading shows on YouTube with over 1M views per month, and 40K views per day. Our show features home grown traders and industry experts, trading live and providing insightful market coverage & educational content to a global audience, Monday - Friday from 7:20 AM - 3:00 PM CT. We are building a next-level media operation from the ground up. Currently remote with a homegrown tech stack, we’ll be moving into a full production studio and transitioning to AWS later this year.

We’re looking for a Broadcast Engineer to own and evolve the technical backbone of our live production—from optimizing today’s setup to building the cloud-based infrastructure that will power our future across YouTube, Instagram Live, TikTok Live, Spotify Video, Roku, and beyond.

Key Responsibilities

• Audit and optimize our current remote broadcast setup (hardware, software, streaming platforms).
• Own and maintain our live streaming infrastructure (remote and studio-based).
• Ensure high-performance, low-latency live streaming—zero dropped frames, crisp audio, smooth transitions.
• Architect and implement a scalable cloud-based infrastructure (AWS).
• Advise on and integrate new distribution platforms like IG Live, TikTok Live, Roku, etc.
• Document systems, workflows, and best practices to support a growing production team.
• Troubleshoot technical issues during live broadcasts—be the calm in the storm.
• Collaborate with our production team on new workflows, automation, and systems documentation.
• Stay up to date on emerging tech in broadcast and streaming media.
  
  

• 5-7 years of experience on sizable live broadcasts, especially remote or hybrid setups.
• Develop and maintain system documentation for operational and troubleshooting purposes.
• History of successfully leading complex projects resulting in satisfied stakeholders.
• Expertise in core IT fundamentals including administration of physical / virtualized / cloud compute & storage, networking, domain & identity management.
• Experience with AutoCad or similar design software.
• Ability to design infrastructure and equipment communications.
• Fluent in OBS, vMix, or similar production software.
• Comfortable with networking, video/audio signal flow, and cloud infrastructure (bonus for AWS experience).
• Quick thinker under pressure with strong troubleshooting instincts.
• Excited about media tech, streaming innovation, and getting your hands dirty in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience integrating with APIs or automation tools for live production workflows is preferred.
• Experience with AWS streaming is preferred.

• $140,000-$160,000
• Bonus: This position is eligible for a performance-based bonus as provided by the plan terms and governing documents.
• The compensation offered will take into account internal equity and may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
