Who We're Looking For

We're building Argu.ai – atop tier startup that's backed by the world's top 3 VCs

and redefines how machines understand video and real-world environments.

We're already live, growing fast, and going deep into large-scale distributed video systems, edge processing, and AI/ML.

We're looking for a super-star technical leader. HandsOn by nature, but with leadership skills. This is a chance to lead and build systems that power some of the most known and high-profile places on earth, handle millions of users, and deploy cutting-edge AI/ML pipelines in real-world environments.

You need to come from this world - scaling infrastructure, building mission-critical systems, and leading elite technical teams.

What You'll Own

• Architect, build, and scale on-prem and cloud distributed systems
• Lead infrastructure design and building for video streaming at scale (RTSP, WebRTC, HLS)
• Build systems that support insanely high data traffic, especially streaming data
• Drive DevOps excellence: Kubernetes, Docker, Ansible, Terraform, Graphana, Redis, Kafka, RabbitMQ. We require full control with industry leading tools.
• Oversee modern CI/CD, monitoring, logging, and full observability stacks
• Own the ML/AI infrastructure - model training, LLM ops, fine-tuning, data pipelines
• Be hands-on - from architecture to deployment, own every line of code.
• Build and lead the internal engineering team. Hire. Mentor. Lead.
• Shape the technical vision alongside the company leadership.

Your Skill Set

• 6+ years building scalable backend and infra systems (cloud/on-prem)
• Experience scaling platforms from 0 to 1M+ users
• Deep knowledge of:
• Kubernetes, Docker, Ansible
• RabbitMQ, Spark, Redis, PostgreSQL
• Video streaming protocols: RTSP, HLS, WebRTC
• Python for backend, ML, and AI (TensorFlow, PyTorch, etc.)
• Proven experience with LLMs, ML pipelines, and AI/ML Ops
• You’ve built real-time systems, handled tens of thousands of concurrent streams
• You’ve led high-caliber teams, and know how to balance speed, quality, and scale
• Proven record in performing and managing development tasks using modern methodologies (Agile, Waterfall)
• You thrive under ownership. You lead by doing. You're not afraid to rewrite half the stack if needed.

Nice to Haves:

• Knowledge and experience in Go programming
• Deep experience in managing GPU-related architecture
