AI Engineer - R&D Department at a Major Bank

Reports To: Head of the Research & Development Department

Role Overview

We are seeking a hands-on AI Engineer to join our Internal Audit team. This role is ideal for someone with strong technical expertise in AI/ML who wants to apply it to real-world audit use cases – such as process automation, anomaly detection, document analysis, Ai agents, Etc

You will be responsible for building and integrating AI-based tools, including large language models (LLMs), to support auditors and and contribute to the continuous improvement and efficiency of processes within the organization

🛠 Responsibilities

• Deploy AI/ML models to analyze structured and unstructured data.

• Build tools such as:

o Document summarizers

o Audit assistant bots (chat over documents)

o Anomaly detection systems

• Integrate AI tools with existing audit systems and databases (SQL, APIs, etc.).

• Fine-tune or configure GPT-based tools using prompt engineering or RAG.

• Develop proof-of-concept AI applications and production-grade solutions.

• Monitor model performance, accuracy, and usability.

Requirements

Technical Skills:

• 2–5 years of experience in applied AI/ML.

• Strong Python programming skills (pandas, scikit-learn, LangChain or similar).

• Experience using OpenAI / Azure OpenAI / HuggingFace APIs.

• Familiarity with SQL, REST APIs, Docker.

• Advantage: Experience with SharePoint, Power Automate, OCR, or document workflows.
