Cyber Security Architect

We’re looking for a Cybersecurity Architect to join a growing cyber defense team within a national-level digital and IT organization. This is a highly strategic and professional role, not a hands-on engineering position. The ideal candidate will bring a combination of cyber expertise, familiarity with defense standards, and strong written communication abilities.

Job Description

• Serve as part of the organization’s CISO unit, reporting directly under the Cybersecurity Lead.
• Take responsibility for cyber defense architecture and planning in IT and OT (Operational Technology) projects.
• Define and write security policies, standards, methodologies, and best practices—tailored to national defense-level systems.
• Analyze complex systems, perform threat modeling, and develop tailored cyber defense responses.
• Lead processes for the implementation and integration of cyber tools and solutions.
• Coordinate with red teams, penetration testers, and internal stakeholders.
• Work closely with security stakeholders in Israeli and international defense-related projects.
• Author high-level professional documentation for government and executive stakeholders (MoD, top management, etc.).

Must-Have Qualifications

• 5+ years of proven experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on architecture, governance, or security leadership roles.
• Strong familiarity with cybersecurity standards, including:
• NIST 800 Series
• ISO 27001
• Excellent writing and communication skills—ability to craft documents, standards, and strategic papers for senior audiences.
• Ability to work independently and lead initiatives end-to-end, with a high level of self-learning and ownership.
• Deep understanding of cyber threats, risk management, and how to design defense architectures accordingly.
