Job Description

The CTTO will play a crucial role in the transportation and logistics unit of the company. The candidate will be responsible for coordinating the movement of goods from one location to another, ensuring that shipments are delivered efficiently and securely. The candidate will work closely with clients, carriers, and other logistics professionals to ensure that shipments are handled smoothly throughout the entire supply chain process

This is a long-term opportunity where the position holder will report to the CEO of the company.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage all aspects of the shipment process, including booking, documentation, and customs clearance.
• Communicate effectively with clients, suppliers, and carriers to ensure smooth and timely delivery of goods.
• Arrange transportation and logistics services, such as trucking, shipping, and air freight, to meet the specific needs of each shipment.
• Prepare and process necessary shipping and customs documents, including bills of lading, commercial invoices, and export/import documentation.
• Ensure compliance with international trade regulations and customs requirements.
• Track and monitor shipments to ensure on-time delivery and proactively resolve any issues or delays that may arise.
• Provide exceptional customer service by promptly addressing any inquiries or concerns from clients and maintaining strong.
• Optimize shipping routes and methods to minimize costs and improve efficiency.
• Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices to continuously improve the freight forwarding process.
• Collaborate with other members of the logistics team to streamline operations and improve overall supply chain performance.
• Survey the market and seek business development opportunities by making partnerships and prepare bidding documents to different donors.
• Ability to develop monthly work plan for subordinates and monitor it accordingly.
• Develop the long-term & short-term strategic plan and implement them properly.
• Ability to develop the policy for freight forwarding system.
• Any other activities as assigned by management from time to time.
  
  

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administrative or relevant field.
• With Master Degree 5 and with Bachelor 7 years working experience in Logistics, Transportation, Freight Forwarding, Custom Clearance and shipping industry.
• Knowledge of international shipping documentation and customs clearance procedures.
• Familiarity with shipping regulations and compliance requirements.
• Strong knowledge of international trade regulations and customs requirements.
• Very Good written and verbal communication skills of English in addition to Dari & Pashtu languages. Proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to handle a fast-paced work environment and work with tight deadlines.
• Attention to detail to ensure accurate documentation and compliance with customs regulations.
