System Architect

A groundbreaking company in the field of image sensors, specializing in SWIR (Short-Wave Infrared) sensor technology, based on cutting-edge research in nanophotonics. Their unique technology is redefining the landscape of vision sensors, especially in the automotive sector, alongside other innovative applications.

The position is part of the Architecture Team and involves the use of scientific and applied research methods to solve advanced technical challenges.

The company has around 90 employees and is located in central Tel Aviv, near the train station. The work model includes one day per week from home, with the rest onsite

Responsibilities-

• Staying up to date with technological advancements and comparing new, innovative solutions.
• Leading full innovation processes from concept through literature review, proof of concept (PoC), simulation, and experimental analysis all the way to implementation in new products.
• Defining requirements and analyzing performance of electro-optical subsystems and contributing to system design processes.
• Modeling new features and configurations, performing end-to-end performance evaluations, and analyzing the impact of new parameters and limitations on system performance.
• Defining and analyzing solutions for new system features and configurations.
• Setting system-level requirements and guiding the design of subsystems across various domains: software, algorithms, hardware, electro-optics, image sensors, lasers, and firmware.
• Working closely with all R&D and Product teams.

Requirements-

• B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field (advanced degree – an advantage)
• 4 years of experience in research and development of complex sensor systems, optoelectronics, or image processing
• Hands-on experience in imaging system development, modeling and simulation, and sensor R&D
• Practical experience with Python or other data analysis tools
• Self-motivated with strong initiative and a passion for solving real-world, impactful problems through research and innovation
• Experience in R&D of CMOS sensor systems – an advantage
