We’re seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join our Core team and lead end-to-end development of our hacker-like C&C platform, driving design-to-deployment features that power simulations, orchestrate attacks, and integrate deeply with teams across research, DevOps, and QA.

🚀 In Technical Terms, You Will

• Own the full development cycle—from design to production deployment—for features in our hacker-like C&C platform that orchestrates attacks and simulations
• Define and extend data models, microservice contracts, secure storage of sensitive information, and structured and unstructured data objects
• Implement core backend business logic to support new capabilities
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Security Research, Fullstack Development, DevOps, QA, and Automation
• Contribute to end-to-end feature delivery across the platform
• Proactively identify success blockers and areas for improvement
• Work with the Customer Success team to understand needs and drive product enhancements

🫵 Who YOU Are

• At least 5 years of experience in development in node.js over k8s
• At least 3 years of hands-on technical leadership
• Strong passion for working directly with customers and collaborating with peer teams for the purpose of creating an ultimate customer experience
• Strong written, verbal, editing, and presentation skills
• Ability and desire to work in a high paced startup environment
• Self-driven, autonomous learning abilities and thinking outside the box mentality

💥 Even BETTER if you have

• Experience with security control products
• Proficiency in Python for scripting and backend tasks
• Experience with data technologies such as Elasticsearch, Postgres, MySQL, and Redis
• Familiarity with RabbitMQ or similar messaging systems
• Hands-on ability to fine-tune Docker containers and work deeply within containerized environments
• Experience managing infrastructure with an IaaS mindset (e.g., configuring EC2, networking, storage) rather than relying on managed cloud services
• Comfort working close to the system level—optimizing data models, troubleshooting services, and improving runtime performance
