Company Introduction:
Lycored is a mature innovative biotechnology company engaged in the development of natural carotenoid-based products in the areas of food supplements and nutritional supplements.
The company currently employs approximately 200 people located in Israel, USA, Switzerland and other locations, and its factories are located in Israel and the USA.
Lycored is a subsidiary of ADAMA Agricultural Solutions, a global leader in crop protection. Although Lycored is a subsidiary of ADAMA, Lycored operates as a separate legal entity and its development, production, marketing, and distribution systems are separate from those of ADAMA.
The current opportunity:
We are currently seeking a General Manager to lead the global Lycored business from end-to-end. The Lycored GM reports to the Board of Lycored and this role and the Lycored headquarters team are located in Beer Sheva, Israel.
This role includes the following challenges:
- Manage $USD 100M end-to-end innovative business including research and development, manufacturing and operations, sales and marketing
- Achieve P&L targets and deliver sales, profit, profitability, cash flow, and other business goals and objectives to grow the company.
- Establish and execute goals for sales growth, expanding market share, profit contribution to achieve business results. This includes budget management, product innovation and launching, profitable commercial and marketing activities as well as long term planning and investment management.
- Create and maintain relationships with customers at all levels of the organization.
- Ensure proper management of working capital (inventories and product availability), through active participation in planning meetings.
- Report on the unit’s financial results both on monthly and quarterly basis according to the global guidelines.
- Manage staff, including performance monitoring, mentoring, development and training.

Ideal profile experience:
- Experience as a General Manager or CEO of an industrial company (revenues of 40 million dollars or more) or alternatively a business unit manager in a large industrial company.
- Background in the food or healthcare industry - a significant advantage
- Experience in a company with significant commercial activity abroad
- Experience in a company with production activity and operational understanding - a significant advantage
- Experience in managing an innovative company based on research and development
Travel:
- Up to 25% travel
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Science, or other related field.
- MBA/Master’s degree a plus.
