Back End Developer

Tweed is a fast-growing fintech startup building the future of compliance and risk infrastructure for financial institutions. We're on a mission to make compliance smart, secure, and seamless — reducing overhead while increasing transparency and control.

We’re looking for a Backend Engineer who wants to take part in building a highly scalable and secure platform from the ground up. You'll join a small, elite engineering team and work closely with product, design, and leadership to shape the core of Tweed’s next-generation compliance system.

What You'll Do

- Design and implement backend services and APIs powering the compliance engine

- Work with technologies like Node.js, PostgreSQL, Redis, Neo4j, and AWS

- Own critical components and help shape our product architecture and infrastructure

- Collaborate with frontend, data, and DevOps engineers to ship high-quality features

- Ensure scalability, observability, and performance of our systems

- Contribute to a culture of excellence, velocity, and ownership

What We're Looking For

- 5+ years of backend experience (Node.js preferred, but not mandatory)

- Strong experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL) and/or graph databases (e.g., Neo4j)

- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP) and modern CI/CD workflows

- Experience in building secure and robust APIs

- A strong sense of ownership and product thinking

- Bonus: Experience in fintech, compliance, fraud detection, or high-scale systems
