Director of Engineering

A publicly traded global tech company, recognized as a world leader in DevSecOps and MLOps, serving thousands of customers and operating across 11 international sites.

The company’s main R&D centers are located in Tel Aviv (on the train line) and Netanya (with weekly shuttle service), offering a hybrid work model with two days from home.

The position involves establishing and leading a new Cloud Platform group that will become a key infrastructure driver within the company’s R&D organization. This internal-facing core group will develop tools and platforms to support hundreds of developers company-wide.

Key responsibilities include:

• Building and scaling a new Cloud Platform group from the ground up
• Managing and mentoring team leads while growing the group from 15 to 4 teams
• Developing internal infrastructure tools (B2D) to improve Developer Experience
• Overseeing Kubernetes environments, observability systems, and automation pipelines
• Collaborating with VP R&D, Cloud Security, SaaS, and Product teams
• Driving cloud-native architecture and integrating with existing systems
• Leading initiatives related to CI/CD, monitoring, and distributed system scalability
• Combining long-term architectural vision with hands-on execution
• Tech stack includes: Kubernetes, GCP, AWS, Azure, Python (Java/Go also relevant), Microservices, Observability, CI/CD, DevX, and Cloud-native Architecture.

Requirements-

• 5 years of experience in a director-level role or above
• Proven track record of managing groups of 30+ engineers
• Must have held at least one senior leadership role with a strong DevOps focus
