Linux Expert - Systems Administrator

We As Web Israel is looking for a skilled and proactive Linux Systems Administrator to oversee our Linux infrastructure and environment. This is a leadership role that involves hands-on technical work while providing crucial support to R&D teams in areas like CAD (HW/SW), RF, and software engineering.

The ideal candidate will possess deep knowledge of Linux system management, DevOps practices, and virtualization, with a focus on EDA tools such as Cadence, Synopsys, ARM, and others. You'll be a key player in managing and optimizing our environment to support cutting-edge research and development.

Core Responsibilities:

• Provide expert technical support to R&D teams (HW/SW CAD, RF) and engineering groups utilizing EDA tools.
• Deploy, configure, and maintain Linux systems (RedHat, Rocky, CentOS, Ubuntu) in both physical and virtual settings (VMware, Proxmox).
• Manage hybrid cloud infrastructure, including AWS environments.
• Oversee NetApp storage systems to ensure efficient data management and backups.
• Lead the management of DevOps pipelines and automation tools like Ansible and Puppet for CI/CD systems.
• Administer containerized environments using Docker and Rancher.
• Monitor system performance and health using tools like Nagios and other monitoring solutions.
• Maintain and support floating license servers (LMGRD) for CAD and other licensed software.
• Provide support to both Linux and Microsoft-based users.
• Collaborate with IT and cross-functional teams on infrastructure projects.

Qualifications:

• 6+ years of hands-on experience in Linux system administration.
• Proven track record in managing EDA/CAD environments (Cadence, Synopsys, ARM, KeySight) and floating license management.
• Extensive hands-on experience with:
• NetApp storage systems.
• Various Linux distributions: RedHat, Rocky 8, CentOS, Ubuntu.
• Scripting in Bash and Python.
• Virtualization platforms: VMware, Proxmox (optional).
• Containerization technologies: Docker, Rancher (preferred).
• Automation tools like Ansible and Puppet (advantageous).
• Monitoring tools such as Nagios, Grafana.
• Experience with AWS and hybrid cloud infrastructure.
• Familiar with supporting both Linux and Microsoft systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for complex infrastructure challenges.
• A demonstrated ability to learn and adapt to new technologies independently.
