About the Role:

We’re looking for an experienced and visionary VP of R&D to lead our product development, overseeing a talented team of 5 engineers. Reporting directly to the CTO, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of our technology stack, steering high-impact projects, and leading hands-on architecture and development efforts.

Your team will work on mission-critical projects that power our products, from backend to frontend, ensuring high performance, scalability, and quality at all stages. Responsibilities:

* Lead the R&D department, overseeing all technical aspects of product development.

* Manage and mentor a team of engineers, promoting a culture of innovation, ownership, and excellence.

* Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Product, QA, and Marketing to align technology with business goals.

* Take a hands-on approach to problem-solving and architecture, dedicating 30% of your time to coding and technical oversight.

* Spearhead the development of our next-gen platform using technologies like Node.js, React.js, and AWS, driving solutions that scale globally.

* Ensure the timely delivery of high-quality features, ensuring optimal performance and security.

What You’ll Need:

* 5+ years of leadership experience in R&D, ideally in fast-paced, growth-stage environments.

* Proven expertise in managing teams of developers across various engineering disciplines (Frontend, Backend, QA).

* Hands-on experience with Node.js and React.js is a must.

* Strong knowledge of AWS infrastructure, DevOps practices, and scalable system design.

* A track record of delivering robust, innovative solutions to complex technical challenges.

* Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and lead teams to success.
