Cobol Programmer

We are looking for a skilled and motivated COBOL Developer to join our technology team and contribute to the development and maintenance of critical enterprise systems. This is an exciting opportunity to work with robust, large-scale applications that are at the core of our business operations.

What You’ll Do:

• Design, develop, and maintain COBOL programs for business-critical applications.
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into high-quality, scalable software solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including analysts, testers, and infrastructure engineers.
• Debug, test, and optimize COBOL code to ensure performance and reliability.
• Support existing legacy systems and assist with modernization initiatives.
• Document technical designs, processes, and procedures.

What We’re Looking For:

• Proven experience in COBOL development (batch and online).
• Strong knowledge of mainframe environments (e.g., IBM z/OS, JCL, CICS, DB2).
• Experience with file systems (VSAM, flat files) and database access using SQL.
• Familiarity with integration between legacy and modern systems is a plus.
• Ability to analyze and resolve complex technical issues.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Advantage: Experience in banking, insurance, or large-scale enterprise systems.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience as a COBOL Developer.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field – preferred.
