Chief Architect

A discreet company - looking for a strategic Chief Architect to lead their SaaS platform’s architectural design and technical direction. Define and oversee the implementation of a scalable, secure, and high-performing multi-instance architecture that supports current and future business needs.

This high-impact role blends technical expertise with strategic thinking and leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

• Technical Roadmap: Contribute to and guide the technical roadmap in alignment with the product roadmap and company strategy.
• Mentorship: Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineers and architects.
• Scalability & Performance: Ensure the platform scales efficiently with user growth and maintains top-tier performance.
• Define and implement the architectural strategy for an enterprise-level, mission-critical, multi-tenant SaaS security platform, ensuring scalability, security, and high availability.
• Design and enhance cloud-native, microservices-based architectures that support app-sec threat detection and mitigation.
• Standards & Best Practices: Establish coding, testing, and design standards across engineering teams.
• Ensuring compliance with security and regulatory standards (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR, NIST, FedRAMP).
• Guiding the engineering teams on secure coding principles and architectural decisions that minimize attack surfaces.

Requirements:

1. 10+ years of experience in software architecture and development, with a strong focus on application security and SaaS platforms.
2. Deep expertise in cloud (AWS or Google Cloud).
3. Proficiency in multiple programming languages and frameworks (e.g., C#, Python, Java, Go).
4. Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and mentor engineering teams.
5. Familiarity with modern DevOps practices (CI/CD, infrastructure as code, containers).
6. Proven track record in scaling enterprise-level SaaS platforms to thousands or millions of users.
7. A strategic mindset, balancing innovation with security, performance, and business needs.
